Group Therapy & Mindfulness

Find out what it feels like to receive empathy, compassion, and attunement from others while allowing yourself to be vulnerable and authentic.

Social media and smart phones can make connecting with others easy.   However connections often lack authenticity and vulnerability.

Joining a therapy group that brings in mindfulness can build awareness of the connections you are longing for. Then, using new awareness, you can learn through group interactions what feels good or is uncomfortable.  This awareness can lead you towards more fulfilling relationships.

Research shows that group therapy, with mindfulness or positive psychology, can increase one’s sense of belonging, purpose and hope.  Thus, group therapy can be an effective treatment for people still feeling isolated or disconnected since the pandemic.

Our therapy groups are long-term, processing groups that meet for 90-minutes several times per month. The groups are small and they weave in tenets of mindfulness. They are held either in person or video.

Being a part of a long-term therapy processing group can help you:

1

Improve communication skills

2

Cultivate assertiveness and find your voice within a safe facilitated environment

3

Feel heard, seen, and connected

4

Develop insight around habitual relational patterns

5

Increase self-acceptance

6

Live more fully and authentically in the present moment
