Holistic Mental Health Therapy

Supporting your mind, body, and nervous system with a deeper, more integrated approach to healing and well-being.

Mental wellness isn’t just managing mental health symptoms.

It’s finding authenticity and ease in your body, your relationships, and your daily life.

Over time, stress, overwhelm or trauma can quietly impact everything.

Holistic therapy can help you slow down, understand and integrate the full picture of your experiences, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounded, compassionate and sustainable.

A holistic approach to mental health in Austin

At Flourish, we believe true mental wellness comes from addressing the whole person—not just isolated symptoms.

Our work is rooted in an integrative framework that supports the connection between your mind, body, and emotional experiences. We understand that mental health challenges are often shaped by nervous system patterns, past experiences, lifestyle habits, trauma and the ways your body has learned to cope and adapt.

Treatment methods used include:

  • Attachment-based therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Interpersonal neurobiology
  • EMDR (trauma reprocessing)
  • Polyvagal-informed therapy
  • Self-compassion practices
  • Sensorimotor / Somatic therapy
  • Mindfulness-based interventions

Woven together, these modalities support you in developing secure attachment patterns, emotional awareness, and the capacity for deeper, more fulfilling relationships.

A Personal Message from Our Founder

“After living through significant trauma and years of medications that never healed the root cause, I knew there had to be a different way forward.

Through mindfulness practices, functional medicine, and truly holistic care, I shifted from merely treating symptoms to actively cultivating lasting wellness.

Flourish was created to share that framework — so no one has to feel as powerless and stuck as I once did. Healing is possible, and you deserve to flourish.”

— Cyndi Collen, Founder & Clinical Director

Choose Mental Wellness

Our four-pillar framework — woven together with mindfulness, purpose, and meaning — is designed to help you heal more deeply, live more fully, and flourish every single day.
You deserve more than symptom management. You deserve to reclaim your vitality, joy, and wholeness. Your journey toward true mental wellness starts with a single step.

Holistic mental health therapy focuses on treating the whole person—mind, body, and nervous system—rather than just symptoms. It integrates multiple approaches to support deeper and more sustainable healing.

While traditional therapy often focuses on thoughts and behaviors, holistic therapy also includes the body, nervous system, lifestyle, and emotional patterns to address root causes more comprehensively.

Holistic therapy can support anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, attachment issues, emotional overwhelm, and stress-related conditions.

No. Many clients come to Flourish seeking support, clarity, or personal growth without a formal diagnosis.

Currently, we have two therapists who accept insurance.  These insurances include  Aetna, BCBSTX, UHC, Oxford and Cigna.

The other therapists that do not accept insurance can provide a ‘Superbill’.  If you have out of network coverage with your insurer, this document is used to submit a claim for possible reimbursement.

Please check with your insurance carrier about “Out of Network” (OON) coverage.  Reimbursement can be as much as 70% but there is usually a deductible.

We also accept payment from HSA/FSA accounts.  Psychotherapy, ketamine therapy and some nutritional services are eligible for HSA/FSA.

Our rates for individual and couples sessions range between $80 – $180. The rate is dependent on the service, therapist, frequency, and availability. Some therapists offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.  If this is something you are interested in, please mention this in your initial inquiry.

At Flourish, we use the term psychotherapist to define our role as long term therapists.  We believe a long term therapeutic relationship develops healthy relationship skills for our clients.   These skills can improve current or new relationships with friends, family and colleagues. Additionally,  the term psychotherapist differentiates our work from other therapies such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and massage.
