Let’s be honest—being human can be hard, confusing, and overwhelming! I believe that the capacity for healing and, ultimately, flourishing already exists within each person. I would like to join you in discovering and strengthening your capacity to flourish, at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach incorporates compassion, mindfulness, psycho-education, creativity, and genuine connection. I will strive to create a therapeutic and non-judgmental space so you can feel safe bringing in concerns and turning challenges into opportunities for greater self-awareness and growth.
While we cannot always change the circumstances that shape our lives—such as family dynamics, culture, work, responsibilities, trauma, or biological factors—we can explore how we relate to those circumstances, work together to integrate them and cultivate confidence in navigating discomfort and emotional regulation.
My hope is that each person leaves therapy not only feeling heard and understood, but also with practical coping skills and insights they can begin using in their everyday lives.
Experience
Recently I was a school counselor and researcher in several Title I and low-income school environments, where I had the opportunity to work closely with children and families from a variety of backgrounds, including immigrant communities. Before that, I’ve worked with a diverse range of populations, including pregnant and parenting adolescents, first-time parents, formerly incarcerated men, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and parents of children living with chronic illnesses.
These experiences have strengthened my belief that every client brings a unique history, perspective, and set of strengths into the therapy room.
Education & Interests
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas, am a proud Texas State University alumna with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology, followed by a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling.
I enjoy outdoor activities such as golf, swimming, hiking and nature photography. In my free time, you can usually find me reading, making arts and crafts, creating playlists, or taking photos of interesting bugs and plants on my walks. I believe that curiosity, creativity, play, and connection are important parts of a meaningful life—and I try to bring those values into both my personal life and my work with clients.
